Distance trip

John Deere Distance Trip enables producers to move dirt based on distance. The most common tasks to fully utilise Distance Trip are:

  • Creating headland furrows (“Rotobuck”) in furrow irrigation applications
  • Marking the soil for fence posts or planting trees in an orchard

Distance trip is compatible with the hydraulics on most 8000 and all 8R/9R tractors and requires GreenStar™ common components, John Deere Distance Trip activation, application controller and harness and bracket.

A John Deere Distance Trip activation works with many of the different John Deere Ag Management Solutions (AMS) components that producers may already own such as:

  • GreenStar™ 3 (GS3) 2630 Display
  • GreenStar 2 (GS2) 2600 Display
  • StarFire™ iTC Receiver
  • StarFire ™ 3000 Receiver
  • AutoTrac™ assisted steering system

iGrade/Terra Cutta

iGrade™ allows single and dual slope grade designs to be implemented. This application automates the hydraulic commands of a scraper blade or bucket, making your water management practices hassle-free. The Distance Trip feature lets you engage the tractor’s hydraulics based on distance travelled – a real advantage when creating furrows in headlands or the vernacular creating Roto bucks or Roto bucking.
